Tottenham Hotspur are set to trigger a one-year extension on Son Heung-min‘s contract, according to The ยูฟ่าเบท.

Son last signed a contract in 2021, which now has just seven months remaining. But it is understood the club have the option to extend it by a further year.

It means the South Korean captain will serve the club for more than a decade. Having joined from Bayer Leverkusen for £22m in 2015.

Ange Postecoglou has appointed the 32-year-old as Spurs captain, replacing Hugo Lloris, who has left the club.

Son was previously asked about his contract. And insisted he wanted to lead Tottenham to their first title since 2008 rather than think about a new deal.
