Manchester United have announced plans to build a new 100,000-capacity stadium, expected to cost more than £2billion.

The Red Devils have been at Old Trafford for 115 years, with the old ground currently holding almost 74,000.

The new stadium is expected to be built on land owned. By the club next to Old Trafford. The unveiling

will feature three towers, inspired by the devil’s trident in the club’s crest, holding up an “umbrella” structure that provides protection from the sun and rain for fans entering the stadium. Another

eye-catching feature is the construction of a Wembley-like promenade. Which Sir Jim Radcliffe has said would be built before The ‘North Wembley’

site has already been completed. With shops and restaurants lining the ground and a canal nearby. Construction is due to start in just five years.

“Today marks the beginning of an exciting journey to unveil what will be the greatest football stadium in the world, right at the heart of the new Old Trafford,” said Redcliffe.

“Our current ground has served us brilliantly for 115 years but has fallen behind many of the sport’s great venues. “

By continuing the construction work on the groundside we will be able to preserve the essence of Old Trafford, while creating a state-of-the-art new stadium that will transform the fan experience just a few steps from our historic home.”

Greater Manchester Mayor สมัคร ufabet กับเรา รับโบนัสทันที Andy Burnham said the new stadium would generate £7.3bn in economic output, create 92,000 jobs, including 17,000 new ones, while welcoming up to 1.8 million visitors a year.

Legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson add: “Manchester United should always be driven by the best. On and off the pitch. And the stadiums we play at,” he said.

“Old Trafford holds many special memories, especially for me. But we have to be brave and take the opportunity to build a new stadium that is fit for the future, where new history can be made.”
